The object of ARBEITERWOHLFAHRT GESUNDHEITSDIENSTE gGmbH, Hanover, founded in 1994, whose sole shareholder is Arbeiterwohlfahrt Bezirksverband Hannover e.V., is the medical and nursing care of persons, in particular the operation of hospitals, medical rehabilitation clinics, nursing care facilities, dialysis centers and the operation of outpatient treatment centers, as well as the operation of all other business and activities that are usually associated with such facilities at present or in the future or that are suitable for serving the main purpose of the company. The catchment area for the healthcare services is primarily Lower Saxony, but also the whole of Germany.
Through networked structures, AWO Gesundheitsdienste gGmbH offers comprehensive and coordinated services from a single source. The special features of the range of services lie in the complementary offerings of the individual facilities. The interlinking of the outpatient and inpatient sectors of acute medicine, rehabilitation, dialysis and care enables individual and continuous care at a high level at socially acceptable costs.
